Well, some major things have happened since my last post. The babies turned one which is absurd. Max started taking steps right around their first birthday and he is a full-fledged walker now. Evelyn is a little more timid but she's getting there. We took a trip to Lake Tahoe with Mike's family for a fantastic week away. We got to snowboard and Jack learned how to ski! We've had some nice days ("some" being the key word) and we've tried to get out as much as possible. We are very much looking forward to the summer days ahead. I just LOVE summer!!!
So, here is the picture summary.
Twins' 1st Birthday:These are the cakes I made for the twins. Thanks to my friend Melinda for letting me borrow her small cake pans, and my sis-in-law Lindsey for letting me borrow all of her cake decorating tools! I know they're not that pretty, but I think it's fun to try and make cute cakes for the kids.

This was taken while we were singing Happy Birthday. Max was a little nervous about it all.

Neither baby really knew what to do with the cake. I love that they just stuck their faces on them!

We finally had to dig into the cake a little and once they tasted it they had no problems figuring out what to do.

Evelyn was loving it!

We gave the babies a bath and then let them open their presents.

Me and my 1 year old babies!! I'm such a goober.

Around the House:There are pictures of the early stages of walking. Max absolutely loves the little walker toys. Seriously, he would grin from ear to ear every time he got behind one of those things.

Sometimes Evelyn will try to walk with Max. I don't think she does it because she wants to walk though. I think it's more because she wants the toy. She's rather mean to Max and Max is so chill. He usually just sits there and lets her be bossy.

Just another meal-time. I was however very excited to find another clipy chair for the table. One that exactly matched my other no less! I found it on craigs list in Oregon and had my mother-in-law pick it up for me and bring it to Lake Tahoe. That's how badly I wanted it. I absolutely love these old skool chairs!

Max walking! I love how he walks with his hands above his head.

He fell and then I called his name and took the picture. It seriously looks like he's striking a pose. The band-aid is from his 1 year immunizations.

This is how we do...

Getting into trouble. Usually one follows the other. Evelyn tends to be the leader more than the follower.

Evelyn getting a back scratch from her Uncle Cody. You can't really see it but he's got a BYU "You Got Swatted" fly swatter in his hand. She loved it.

Evelyn loves to climb up into the chairs we have and just sit there all proud of herself. Max often follows. I just thought it was hilarious how they climb all over each other just to be in the same chair. Mind you, we have 3 of these things all right next to each other!

Taking a ride in the bowl!

Climbing on the LoveSac. They LOVE to climb on this thing. If you couldn't tell by the smiles on their faces.
Lake TahoeJack and I sledding down the hill. Jack only lasted so long on the skis so we would take him sledding too.

Jack insisted on eating the snow. Actually, every time he fell skiing he would say, "oh, wait...I need a bite of snow!"

Are those not the cutest ski boots you've ever seen?! They were so tiny and it was pure hilarity to try and watch Jack walk in them.

Jack skiing. He LOVED the "magic carpet" that took him to the top of the bunny hill. Hands down that was his favorite part.

Jack giving a double thumbs-up! He really did enjoy it.

The babies in their snow suits! Oh, these were the best. Evelyn was completely at ease in her suit, but Max would sit there like a statue. He was so unsure of what to do that he would just sit there and do nothing.

Bonus Picture:
Jack is really into wearing Mike's ties to church. He came out the morning this was taken and said, "Look Mom! Daddy and I are match-match."
